General REFRAG Regulations
By registering on REFRAG forum, you automatically accept these regulations. Ignorance of them is not an excuse!
Applicability by rank
The rules apply to all members, regardless of seniority or rank.
Some rules may be interpreted differently for members with special ranks, and the exceptions are specified below.
Failure to comply with the duties associated with the rank leads to demotion or ban, depending on the situation.
If you believe that a community member has made a mistake in some way within the community or even that we, as a team, have made a mistake, you have the right to file a complaint in the 'Complaints' category of users. You have 30 days from the incident to file a complaint. Please note that in order to file a complaint, it is necessary to present relevant evidence and details.
1. Accounts, usernames, avatars and signatures
1.1 The username must:
not contain insults, insults, racism or vulgarity;
not imitate the staff name;
have a maximum of 26 characters and a maximum of 3 symbols (!@#$%^&*).
It is punished with automatic modification or permanent ban.
1.2 The avatar and signature must NOT contain:
pornographic materials;
racist or discriminatory messages;
vulgarity;
GIFs or animated images, except for STAFF ranks (Helper, Moderator, Admin, Manager);
Normal users are NOT allowed to have an animated avatar or signature. STAFF members are allowed to use animated images, but decent and in accordance with the general regulations.
1.3 It is forbidden to register multiple accounts (clone).
If multiple members use the same IP, notify an administrator.
Clone accounts will be permanently banned. Main account – suspended for 1 month for each clone created.
Anonymous members who create temporary accounts for the purpose of posting advertisements on the forum will be permanently banned and classified as spammers.
1.4 It is forbidden to disclose personal information about someone, such as personal, banking details, email addresses, IP addresses and other similar private information, including photos or videos. If such actions are detected, we may take action automatically or following a report or complaint.
2. Creating a new topic
2.1 Post in the correct section. Check first with the "Search" function.
2.2 The topic title must be clear and relevant (no "Help!!!" or "Urgent problem").
2.3 Formulate the message completely and clearly.
2.4 Do not abuse CAPS LOCK or emoji.
2.5 Before posting in a category, please read the rules of that category carefully. If you need additional help, do not hesitate to ask a moderator or a member of the administrative team for assistance to explain more details.
2.6 Our partners, as well as people who want to promote their services or goods, are asked to do so only in specially reserved categories. Any commercial activity, such as exchanges, sales or purchases, must take place strictly in the "Partners" area. Our partners, with whom we have entered into a partnership, have the right to promote their services in a special dedicated category.
2.7 It is forbidden to create aberrant or useless topics in a short period of time. For such actions, you will be sanctioned with a warning ("warn") or even suspension of the right to post for a period of 7-60 days.
2.8 Respect the rules regarding posts in the respective category and submit to the administrative or moderators' decisions in the order of posting.
2.9 We reserve the right to delete, move to the trash or close topics that are created for the purpose of mockery, spam, inciting quarrels or that violate the limits of common sense between community members.
Warning 1-2 warning points or 3-month ban / even permanent, depending on the severity of the situation.
3. Language
3.1 No swearing, vulgar words, racism, discrimination or personal attacks.
3.2 Also applies to private messages.
3.3 Censorship with "*", "@", "#" etc. does not excuse you.
3-5 warning points or temporary suspension.
4. Rules for posting
4.1 The following are prohibited:
Off-topic – posts unrelated to the topic;
Post-hunt – comments like "+1", "nice", without real content;
Spam – identical/repeated messages;
Double-post – do not post 2 messages in a row, until after 24 hours.
4.2 Avoid the abuse of colors, large font sizes, CAPS LOCK, emoji.
4.3 Max. 2 posts/hour in a category, regardless of rank.
Warning or deletion of messages, depending on the case.
5. Piracy / Warez – ZERO Tolerance
5.1 It is strictly prohibited:
discussing, requesting or offering cracks, keygens, serials, pirated software;
distributing illegal torrents, warez trackers, illegal DLCs, etc.;
any discussion about methods of "cracking" software.
Account and IP will be permanently banned. No exceptions.
6. Advertising
6.1 Advertising on other communities, servers, sites of the same genre is prohibited.
Includes: link in signature, profile, PM or topics.
Permanent ban for account and IP.
7. Report function
7.1 Use "Report" only for real violations.
7.2 Do not use it as a private message or request for help.
7.3 Clearly state the reason and link to the reported post.
Abuse is punished with 2 warning points.
8. Section rules
Each category can have its own mini-regulations.
Read it before posting.
Final notes
The regulations may be modified. Check it periodically!
The REFRAG team can also act outside the provisions, if the situation requires it.
Disturbances outside the community (Steam, Discord, etc.) are not our responsibility.
The staff is responsible for their behavior and compliance with the rules, but they are allowed to use some visual elements in their signature/avatar (as long as they are decent and do not disturb).
